General Admission is the traditional way to experience Spooky Woods. Guests will move through all attractions using standard queues and experience the full scares, sets, and cast that have made Spooky Woods legendary.

General Admission tickets are available on Red, Yellow, and Green nights, with pricing based on demand and expected attendance.

Guests who want the full Spooky Woods experience at the best available price and don’t mind standard wait times.

VIP Access is designed for guests who want to experience Spooky Woods with significantly reduced wait times. VIP guests receive priority access, skipping the General Admission line, allowing them to enter the attraction in about 1/3 of the wait time over General Admission.  Please note that this only skips the first line to enter the attraction. 

VIP tickets are limited to a couple of hundred each hour to help maintain crowd flow and protect the quality of the experience.

Best for:
Guests who want to maximize their night, see everything, and spend less time waiting in line.

SpookyWoods uses timed ticketing by the hour to thoughtfully manage capacity and preserve the quality of every visit. Guests may arrive any time during their selected hour, allowing the evening to unfold smoothly and without unnecessary congestion.

We believe a premium experience should feel predictable, well-paced, and transparent. Rather than relying on virtual queues or uncertain wait times, SpookyWoods uses visible, real-world queues so guests always know where they stand.

While waiting, guests step into Club Spooky — an energetic, immersive space filled with music, atmosphere, and entertainment. It’s designed to feel more like a party than a line, keeping the energy high from the moment you arrive.

The process is intentionally simple. Once your ticket is purchased, there are no apps to download, no virtual queues to manage, and no additional waivers to complete. Just arrive, enjoy the atmosphere, and move naturally through the experience.

Why do ticket prices vary by date and color?

SpookyWoods uses color-coded pricing based on demand and expected attendance.

  • Red Nights are our best-value nights with lighter crowds.

  • Yellow Nights are prime nights with higher energy and increased attendance.

  • Green Nights are our highest-demand nights, typically Saturdays and peak dates.

This system gives guests more choices based on budget and experience preference.

Why do we use timed ticketing?

  • Helps prevent overcrowding

  • Improves wait times and guest comfort

  • Protects the quality of the experience on busy nights

  • Allows us to fairly limit VIP and Immediate Access availability

    Our online service fee and parking are lower than those of many major attractions in the region.

Can I buy tickets onsite?

Yes, you can purchase tickets onsite. VIP and Immediate Access are limited; once they are sold out, only General Admission tickets are available.  Note: VIP and Immediate Access typically sell out in advance on Green nights.  The on-site price is the same as the online price.  Tip: buying online lets you pick your time in advance, saving you time in line.

What is included with General Admission?

General Admission includes entry to all standard SpookyWoods attractions. Wait times vary by night and attendance level.

What is VIP access?

VIP provides priority access to attractions, allowing guests to move through the experience faster than General Admission.

VIP availability is limited per hour to help manage crowd flow.

What is Immediate Access?

Immediate Access is our most exclusive experience and is limited to just 50 guests per hour.

Immediate Access includes:

  • Immediate entry at attractions (no waiting)

  • One free photo and frame per guest in your group

  • 20% off gift shop purchases

Why is there a service fee?

There is a service fee that covers credit card processing, fraud protection, and secure online ticketing, staffing, and guest experience operations.

Our service fee is lower than that of attractions in the region. 

Is sales tax included in the ticket price?

North Carolina sales tax (6.75%) is required by law and is added at checkout.

Why don’t you include tax in the ticket price?

Sales tax is set by the state and varies by jurisdiction. To remain transparent and compliant, tax is added at checkout.

Do I need to arrive at an exact time?

If your ticket includes an arrival window, you may arrive any time during that window. Arrival times are used to manage crowds and reduce wait times — not to rush guests.

Can I change my ticket date?

Yes, just go back to the purchase page by clicking on BOOK NOW above, and click on Upgrade Existing Order to make changes.

Will Immediate Access or VIP sell out?

Yes. VIP and Immediate Access are limited per hour and may sell out on peak nights, especially Green Nights.

We strongly recommend purchasing upgrades in advance.
