I haven't been to Spookywoods yet, but I want to so bad! The site is awesome, guys, just incredible, and if that's Spookywoods... well, I know I probably wouldn't sleep for weeks! Incredible! And judging by the comments, I really *wouldn't* sleep for weeks. The spiders on the home page are awesome, kind of cute, too. And the music in the reviews, too. And the fading text on the navbar. Big applaud on everything. Where did you get the music, by the way? I'm opening a haunted site and I wondered if there was anything like it out there, or if I could use it.

Well, This was my first year working at Spookywoods. I have to say that it was one of the best and most rewarding jobs I've ever had. I met loads of new people, laughed at customers, and had an all-around great time. I'm even planning on flying down from Alaska for a week next year. I HATED that I missed the staff dinner. I had been waiting the whole month for "Dracula" to talk to me. It's amazing how a car accident can change things. We went to three haunted attractions this year (Original Hollywood Show, Spookywoods and The Woods of Terror) and Spookywoods was by far the BEST!!!

Visited your place last night, Halloween night 2005...didn't sleep very well!! Went to so called "professional" place in Snow Camp the night before but I must say I had a better time at your show. Your staff was much scarier and entire haunt was way more terrifying. Who could tell if makeup was done by Hollywood people in the dark anyway?!? I certainly couldn't see any difference in the makeup jobs while I was screaming my head off!! My friends, husband and I plan to make Spookywoods a yearly tradition...I didn't think Halloween could get any better!!

IT WAS AWESOME!! I screamed and laughed the whole way through. I thought it was kind of expensive at first, but it was totally worth it! I can't wait until next Halloween! The whole maze at the end was wicked cool! I loved all the lighting and props and costumes! I am taking all my friends next year!

I thought that this attraction was awesome! I had a great time, I never go to haunted houses or mazes like this sort because of a bad childhood experience, however, I took a chance and I am glad I did! It looks like people enjoyed working their haunts out on people I most def I want a job!

The Spookywoods were great! I really enjoyed it. This was my first year going through and the anticipation was worst than the actual freights, but I really enjoyed it. Its just the right amount of scariness, without being grotesque, and you keep it fun at the same time. I recommend going through with a group of friends, it will be fun for all. Its also great to go through with that special someone you want to see pretend to be brave and then see them scream like a little girl in the cornfield! Great concept, keep up the great works!

This was the first time is several years that I have been thru a haunted house. The house, tram, maize & woods were great. So glad that my husband was the brave one to go thru everything first. Tony and Donna,

I just wanted to let you know that I have really enjoyed working for you guys this season.  It has been hard on me, being away from Haley.  But, you guys are great and I sincerely thank you for letting me be part of your Spookywoods Family.   This year really brought things in perspective for me.  I really realize that no body's job is easy at Spookywoods, but it is really fun working there!
I will consider going to Chicago, but no promises.  Just let me know when you need to know my decision.

The Super VIP tour was excellent!! With 5 brave(?) 12yr old girls, it was the only way to go. I screamed as loud as they did! All they talked about was going back next year. Maybe they will open their eyes more. They especially enjoyed participating at the dungeon. Great idea!!! Thank you for making my daughter's Halloween birthday such a treat.

Excellent idea with offering the "no scare" tour for the younger kids. Mine (7 and 10) begged to go but did not want to do the last cave part and we were getting ready to leave without trying it. Their bravery dried up.

The line attendant saw they were a little freaked out and asked if we wanted a no-scare tour. We took her up on the offer and had fun. Now my kids want to go back and try the "real deal". lol...maybe next year.

A couple years back, we went on the haunted hay ride and if I remember correctly, it was longer than the current tram ride. It had some comedy mixed in and it was a blast. Not sure if it's feasible, but you might want to offer that by itself. I bet you'd get a lot more "family" business.

That or how about an "early show" where it's toned down for younger kids? You're all set up already. Might as well get a few more hours of revenue.

I would have done reservations but wanted to save the $10 on the kid tickets.

Also, in some of the haunt scenes you couldn't see what the visual effect was supposed to be. You could only hear the noise. Do you have someone who goes through with a fresh set of eyes to evaluate it? I used to work at one of these in WI. Heck, I'd do the walk through for a free set of passes next year.

Just some ideas to help you grow as I think you have a good product.

WOW...that was so much fun! I have never been to a haunted experience before and that was the best excitement I've had lately. The part that scared me the most was the clown....it jumped out at me and got in my face..i screamed, then laughed at him. The tram ride was just hilarious because i began to make jokes with the guys on there. The maze and spookywoods part was awesome...i joked around with some of the people and then kept walking. Me and my friend got in the front of the group so basically none of the people bothered us and got everyone behind us. I had a blast and will definitely plan another visit...if not this year, then next!!

I just want to say that this was the first haunted house I have ever been to, and it was freakin' awesome. The chainsaw guy in the first house scared the bejeebus out of me (and the poor kid who got cornered by him), so I would like you guys to give him a hi five for being so cool.

I actually did end up hurting myself (and my poor boyfriend who I tumbled into), but that didn't kill my mood. The place scared me to bits, and it was fun. Everyone there did a great job, you have some top notch actors there. Keep up the good work, and I'll definitely be back next year!

It was good. As always, we had a wonderful time at Spookywoods this year! My friends and I took the Super VIP tour and had a blast! I highly recommend this experience. This is our second year coming to spooky woods.
My husband loves halloween and looks on line for a scary site.
He loves Spookywoods, that says alot.
We have a suggestion......
Why not play scary music instead of rock music, still do the rock music but play it in a tent so the music does not interfere with the scary music.
Have people in scary costumes walking around.
We love Dracula, he plays the scene so well!!

Throughout my 16 years with Kersey Valley - Spookywoods, (as the dark wizard 1990 till 1999, a cursed archeologist in 2000, a hermit in 1992, Williby Grudge/graveyard caretaker in 2004) I have seen that it has been growing better and better every year... From my limited observation of this year, (from my scene, where I like to stay while we are open) hearing the screams from all over, watching people run through or with a 'no scare' guide, I would like to say that the staff is almost like a fine tuned clock or a good steady heart... and on that beat, I would like to add that the core crew, Irene(Mu), and some of the veteran actors/performers have become sort of an extended family with me in my heart. Thank y'all for putting up with all my eccentricities and helping me slowly crawl out of my oubliette-like emotional shell. God Bless.

I was so glad to be scared without being touched. The asylum was very NICE and the cornfield was very cool. I was worried that it would be sooo lame, but it was as good as the reviews and so I was impressed! I will be back next year.

This was my second year to SW, and I have to say this year beat last year by a mile!!! We all almost peed our pants a couple of times!!!

All the rooms in the house were awesome! Who knew I was scared of clowns....and snakes....wicked beginning & LOTS better than last year (I don't remember being as freaked out)!!! And the casket room was killer - no way were we expecting something to come at our feet. The expansion of the cave and subsequent rooms was kick ass!!!!

Perfect number of chainsaws - last year was overkill- this year had, what I think, was the desired effect.

Tram ride was SO much better...freaky lil' tram hoppers wouldn't leave me alone!!!

Thanks for a great experience ~ I'll be back before the season's over and then again next year!!!!

spookywoods is far and away the best haunted house experience my family has encountered since moving to north carolina 5 years ago. we loved it so much we will be returning year after year. it was well worth the price of admission. it was a spooktacularly good time.

I went with the UNCG women's rugby team and every last one of us that went were running and screaming in terror. I had a blast this past Saturday night. Everything was cool. Of course, I don't like paying $20. But it was worth it I think. The tram ride was awesome, the corn maze was awesome, the house. Hey Tony,

WE HAD A BLAST!!! The weather was nice. Everybody looked like they were having a good time. Everything looked really well planned.

The thing though, that made it soooo fun (I think), was the other people in our group. Without them, I don't think it would have been half as fun. I gotta give them credit. They were a guy and 2 girls, probably around 17-18. But you could tell, they were having fun, and they were there TO have fun (not like some teenagers). They were really enjoying themselves, and nice enough to socialize with us thru most the show.

But they wouldn't of had the fun if it wasn't for the great show your actors put on. They were on cue everytime. In character. In their place. They were get in - scare - get out. They were on da money!

That's why we had the BEST time!

SpookyWoods. Excellent! Even better than last year. To be specific, the tram ride, the guys climbing all over the car in the dark, BRILLIANT!

The corn maze, people running up to scare us, GREAT!

Finally, the total darkness in the indoor maze and so much of it, that even gave me chills!

I saw a spot on the Fox 8 morning news last year about Spooky Woods, and it looked great, but we weren't able to go at the time. The catacombs, or whatever you call them, were excellent!! The different scenes were well themed and was every imaginable scare tactic you can imagine. The dog in the corn maize was hilarious. The guys on the ride were much better than last year. The house was good, I liked the rooms last year better personally, but they were good. The only thing we were disappointed with was the lack of people messing with you while you waited in line. We came on Oct. 15th with a group 20 and there were no characters out while we were in line.

This is the greatest haunted house I've ever been to! I have been going to Spookywoods for the past 4 years and choose not to go to any other haunted attraction. Went through with my son tonight, 10-15-05. The place was packed as always. I got to see some familiar faces, and some new ones. The staff was great as always, my son was scared so Wendy guided him through Spookywoods, thanks Wendy. Loved the work you guys and gals did this year, my favorite new scene is the prison break scene. The air rifle is a sweet touch, along with the alarms going off. Hope everyone has a great year!

The Spookywoods maze was the best. i thought it was never going to end. I wish the haunted house and tram ride was longer but still excellent. I loved every moment of it and I am definitely coming back next year for some more "Boo!" I'm just really happy I've found a place that can make me scream, jump, and holler like a little kid again! I was a first timer coming to your haunted attraction. I meet two of your cast members at Wal-Mart one night after they was through and they convinced me to go. I figured it was going to be boring but it is by far the best around. I loved the house. The tram ride is great. The cornfield was alright. My favorite part had to be the Spookywoods itself. The cast out there is awesome. I really liked the dark maze. The jail is great. There some really gross smelling and looking people. The one part that I was not expecting is to be chased by a dead person in the graveyard. That was neat. The end is good too. I will be back this year a few times.. Thanks for all that you are doing for Halloween.

I came with 3 other people all younger than me last yer -2004 i am 53 now, and the others a 12,and two in their 20 s.One 20 could not handle all of the scares so she had a staff member walk with her (after we got separated in 2 groups of 20)and the staff said that was a no scare person. I have been to the Reidsville haunted castle, original Hollywood horror show, woods of terror, Ripley s haunted house -myrtle lately, and last year Spookywoods was the best, but I agree with one reviewer that the bathroom scares was overkill, and maybe a potty break in the middle would not be bad considering how long it would take to go through the line and attraction.
