Q. How can I work at Spookywoods?
A. We don't advertise for help simply due to the fact that once you get a position at Spookywoods that person always returns to work again. However, if your so lucky to get on the staff you first have to apply. Our office accepts applications starting July 1 every summer for the Spookywoods next season. Most positions are filled within a few weeks.

Q. Is it scary?
A. We love to make you scream and have a good time. No one should be forced to go through if they don't want to. So, all you parents that drag your kids kicking by the ticket booth please let them stay at home. I would rather see them come back when they can handle it and enjoy the show then never come see us again.

Q. How did Spookywoods start?
A. Way back in 1985, when Tony Wohlgemuth was 15 years old, he and 5 of his friends used to camp out in the barns behind the farm house that is now the start of Spookywoods. One night Chuck Passmore one of the 5 boys was dared to enter the old house after midnight. Chuck being the brave one he is took the dare and made his way up the creaky staircase. Once he was on the second floor he started to scream and beg for help. Micah Cox run up the stairs to help Chuck and found out the screaming was coming from a family of bats that had made their home in the attic. This of course scared all of us boys and Micah Cox said this house is haunted. That started the haunted house that October in 1985. What started out as a staff of about 10 teenage friends and was just held in the farm house has grown into a corporation with a staff of over 135 people and a good portion of the 55 acre farm. Our first year open we sold just over 1000 tickets in a 2 week period, now we sell over 2500 tickets in one night! Tony and his wife Donna own and operate Spookywoods Haunted Attraction, Maize Adventure Corn Maze, Maize Adventure Gem Dig, Maize Adventure Pumpkin Patch, NCIT and D's Treasures.

Q. Can I bring my kids?
A. Yes! Bring all the kids of proper age that you want. Some aspects of our shows are extremely scary. We recommend 8 years or older, but this is up to you. If your child can't distinguish between fantasy and reality it may be cheaper to get a baby sitter. That way the rest of you will have an opportunity to enjoy the park. Some 6 year olds laugh with our monsters and some 9 year olds avoid our scarier attractions all together. You know your children best. We do not recommend bringing very young children or babies into the park as it can be chilly and loud not to mention expensive.

A. Better! We try our best to top ourselves each season.
